M. N. WatkinsÂ
Hi, I'm M. N. Watkins — a Northern California girl writing stories about wolves, love, and the kind of bonds that can't be broken. I came to paranormal romance the way a lot of good things happen: by accident. A friend introduced me to R. A. Salvatore's Forgotten Realms books, and I've been a fantasy reader ever since. Then one day an ad popped up on my phone for a werewolf novel on the Galatea app. I read it — because honestly, I read almost anything that gets put in front of me — and I was hooked. The genre grabbed me and never let go. Writing has been part of my life since I was thirteen. For years I started stories I couldn't finish, and I carried that with me through a lot — raising kids, becoming a grandma, and some seasons of life that were harder than I'd like to admit, including a period of homelessness where I was writing from my phone. Getting to the other side of all of that and holding a finished book in my hands? That means everything to me. It reminded me that I can do anything I set my mind to. When I'm not writing, you might catch me singing, dancing, drawing, or deep in my ongoing mission to learn Japanese — language, culture, all of it. I'm a creative soul through and through. My biggest hope as an author is simple: that when you open one of my books, you get swept away. That's what stories have always done for me, and it's what I want to give back.
